Terms & Conditions

McLeod Publishing House & Services

By engaging with McLeod Publishing House & Services (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you (“the client”) agree to the following terms and conditions of service. These terms are binding upon payment, submission of materials, or commencement of any contracted work.

Consultation & Meeting Policy

All initial consultations are 30 minutes in length and require full payment up front. Once payment is received, a Zoom link will be sent to the client. Meetings may be held via Zoom or by phone.
After services are accepted and initiated, McLeod Publishing House & Services offers scheduled follow-up meetings (Zoom or phone) for ongoing project updates and support.

Client Communication Policy

Should a client submit an email or request a follow-up call, McLeod Publishing House & Services aims to respond as quickly as possible to all inquiries.
Please note that office hours are Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST.
All emails and phone calls will be acknowledged and responded to within 3 business days from the date they are received, during office hours.

1. Payment Policy

All payments are due in full before any services are rendered. No project will begin without confirmation of payment received. This includes consultations, editing, formatting, design, coaching, or any other publishing services.

2. No Refund Policy

Due to the labor-intensive and customized nature of our work, all sales are final once services begin. No refunds will be issued after the start of any service.

3. Client Approval & Final Sign-Off

All submitted manuscripts and assets will require your final review and written approval before publication. You are responsible for proofreading and approving all final versions. Once approved, McLeod Publishing House & Services is released from further revision responsibility.

4. Manuscript to Marketplace Goal

Our goal is to take you from manuscript to marketplace within 72 hours. This timeline is based on the completion of the initial consultation, strategy sessions, and final manuscript approval by the client.
McLeod Publishing House & Services is not responsible for any delays caused by third-party vendors, distribution platforms, or client delays in submitting required materials or approvals.

5. Hold Harmless Agreement

By engaging our services, you agree to hold harmless McLeod Publishing House & Services, its owners, staff, and affiliates from any claims, disputes, or liabilities related to publishing, distribution, content, outcomes, or technical issues.

6. Project Dismissal & Hostile Environment Clause

McLeod Publishing House & Services reserves the right to cancel a contract at any time during the process if communication breakdown, hostility, or any work-related conflict results in a toxic or unproductive environment.
In such cases, a refund of any remaining balance will be issued, minus the cost of services already completed up to that point.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights to your manuscript remain yours. McLeod Publishing House & Services does not claim ownership of your original work or creative content.

8. Modifications & Updates

We reserve the right to modify these terms and pricing structures as needed. All updates will be provided in writing prior to engagement or renewal.

By submitting payment or materials, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
